Developer The Wild Gentlemen and publisher Kwalee have officially confirmed that the highly anticipated first-person immersive sim RetroSpace will launch worldwide on October 1, 2026. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam, with full Simplified Chinese language support.

Players take on the role of an ordinary janitor who suddenly becomes humanity’s last hope. A massive space station has been swallowed by a sentient black hole, time itself has gone mad, and bizarre animal-plant hybrids roam the corridors. Choose stealth, hacking, traps, or full mutant action as you explore interconnected Metroidvania-style levels and experience a unique death/rebirth and mutation system.

Featuring low-poly aesthetics fused with 1960s–70s retro-futurism, RetroSpace draws inspiration from classics like Doom, System Shock, and Thief. It delivers a darkly humorous, twist-filled “disco-fueled space satire.” The Steam page is live for wishlisting, and a free demo is already available.
